I'm knitting and having coffee at ACME coffee in seaside, my favorite hip little joint to get a cup of joe. Their slogan is "resist corporate coffee." Gotta love it. I just dropped a huge load of junk off at my storage unit & now I am rewarding myself with some sweet relaxation. I love being off on a Monday. I've had such a productive weekend. I'm looking forward to a short work week & hopefully learning a little more about what's really going on in the market, and not just what the media is selling us. Its so hard to sift through all of the BS and find the kernels of truth. So many one liners and "possible scenarios" it makes my head spin. I think the Sarah Palin drama was getting a little boring and the newsies were all grateful for the distraction. Something else to freak us out about for a few weeks. For now I will knit. Sip coffee. & gloat for the first time ever, that if it all

hello from Newport, RI.
I just wanted you to know--
I don't know how I stumbled, months ago, across one of your 2005 blog entries (some random google search?) but I've been reading ever since-- I don't usually read blogs, but I related to your interests and found your voice to be inspiring.
As a girl who travels from state to state, job to job, and is generally solitary to a fault, you've been a sort of friend to me. I hope that isn't creepy.
Reading about how you approach your life has given me courage to get out of a difficult situation and to take a new perspective on my life.
Thanks for writing!
Again, hope I didn't creep you out. Just wanted to know your words touched someone-- but not in the creepy republican jesus sort of way.
Cheers,
Caro
